As the player completes levels, they are rewarded with new costumes for Om Nom, which helps them achieve a higher score for existing levels.Let’s take a trip back in time, back to the distant year of 2010. The game also offers power-ups that provide extra bonuses such as bonus time, bonus points, candy rain, and others. As the levels progress, the objectives become increasingly more complicated and harder to accomplish. That said, each level has different goals, such as completing it with no hits, within a certain number of moves, or by getting a certain score. Players must complete the levels within the time limit and with a limited number of moves. The main objective of the game is to cut the ropes in such a way that the candy reaches Om Nom by hitting stars, bouncing off the walls, and making contact with different objects and contraptions. Additionally, the player can go back and play levels they've already completed to try and get a better score or to collect rewards like new costumes for Om Nom.
Since the game is split into episodes, the player can easily progress through each episode and the overall game. Each episode has 6-8 levels and consists of a particular time-period with unique graphics and all-original gameplay. Cut The Rope: Time Travel consists of 5 game episodes: The Middle Ages, the Renaissance, a Pirate Ship, Ancient Egypt, and Ancient Greece.
